Bill Terry, manager of the champion Giants, signed with that club in the spring of 1922, and has had a way of getting what he has wanted ever since.
From the first, Terry demonstrated that he was not awed by the great McGraw. In 1922, McGraw bought the baseball rights to Terry from Kid Elberfeld, of the Little Rock CLub of the Southern league.
