Conroy Makes Safe Hit
Conroy's fly dropped safely in right field, but Wid was forced out a second, Bradley to Lajoie, on Lelivelt's roller. In a hit and run play Elberfeld did his part without friction. Turner was moving toward second in hopes of catching Lelivelt in an attempted steal when Elberfeld shot past Turner. Gessler whistled a single to right center and Lelivelt dashed to the run register. Gessler stole second. Unglaub's raise to short center was scooped by Graney, and run making was bottle up for the day.
