MEMPHIS. Tenn-, Mar. 6.-(AP) -Star mermaids from Chattanooga, Birmingham, Detroit, Charlotte, N. C., and Memphis meet in competition here tonight in the National A. A. U. 300 yard junior medley: for women- Entrants for this race include; Ruth Elberfeld- Birmingham, B. A. C.;Dorothy Elberfeld, Chattanooga; Betty Burch, Charlotte; Edward Ina Kranick, Detroit, W. A. C. and Helen Broom, Laren, Ark. On addition to the main meet several others an the program including an attempt by Pery Poole, Memphis, to break the National record for the 440 yard free style swim.
