PROTEST SUSPENSION OF KID ELBERFELD
Memphis, Aug. 5.- R. H. Allen, president of the Little Rock club of the Southern association, today filed a protest against the forfeiture to Memphis of the Little Rock-Memphis game here Sunday by Umpire Pfenninger for alleged dilatory tactics of the Little Rock team. The protest was overruled by John D. Martin, president of the Southern association, who also refused to reduce the period of suspension of Norman ("Kid") Elberfeld, manager of the Little Rock club, for his attack on Umpire Pfenninger in Sunday's game. Mr. Allen claimed the penalty was too severe.
