Traveler Boss Expected Soon
Traveler Boss Expected Soon
Norman C. "Kid" Elberfeld, Traveler pilot, probably will arrive here Sunday or Monday. This prediction was made after communication from Elberfeld by President Allen had been closely scanned.
The communication announced that Manager Elberfeld, Mrs. Elberfeld and their smallest children left Hattiesburg, Miss., where the "Kid" has been acting as physical director at Camp Shelby, Thursday in an automobile headed for Little Rock. Providing the roads are in fair shape and no trouble is encountered the trip should be made in three days.
Jack Elberfeld, son of the Traveler leader, and the Kid's oldest daughter are headed toward this city but are not making the journey in the automobile. They are riding horses, recently purchased by the Kid.
Manager Elberfeld is in great shape after spending a winter exercising with the khaki clad lads. He is in such shape that he recently made an announcement that lie was contemplating playing regularly with the club this season.
The Kid has played many years of good baseball and local fans believe that several more good seasons are in his systern. His arm is good, he is a nifty fielder and can hit when hits are needed. We are for him.
