(AP)—The Elberfeld sisters, daughters of Norman (Kid) Elberfeld of Chattanooga, have been declared ineligible for
competition in events sponsored by the Southeastern Association of the Amateur Athletic union, it was announced Sunday.
The action followed their recent. appearance in a basketball game here as the curtain raiser to a professional game between the Rosenblums of Cleveland, O., and the Penn-Dixie combination of Chattanooga.
Dorothy and Ruth Elberfeld are nationally known swimming and diving stars.
