December 9, 1904 - The Wilkes-Barre Record, PA - Trade Rumors
On the heels of the report that Bobby Wallace will play in New York next year comes the announcement from Frank Farrell, owner of the Highlanders, that Kid Elberfeld will remain with the team. Farrell seems really "mashed" on Elberfeld.
"I would not part with Elberfeld," says Farrell, "under any circumstances. No proposition for a trade involving Elberfeld has been made to us And none will be entertained. Notwithstanding all reports, no person has authority to make any trade for this club except manager Griffith.
