NOTED ATHLETES, RUTH ELBEEFELD, OVERMEYER, WED
Donny Overmeyer, Moccasin all-S. I. A. A. quarterback in 1928, and Ruth Elberfeld, swimming and basketball star, were married last night at St. PPaul'sEpiscopal church by Dr. Oliver Hart. Both local athletes are well known throughout the south. Ruth, the youngest daughter of Kid Elberfeld, noted for his playing and managing on the diamond, is southeastern A. A. U. diving champ and played on the Elberfeld sisters basketball' team, as well as other local cage outfits. Don, now connected with the Chattanooga Manufacturing company, barked the signals and did the punting which led Chattanooga to three S. I. A. A. titles.
