SUNDAY, MARCH 19,1922 - ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT,
KID'S KIDLETS SOME WALKERS, WE'LL DECLARE
Weston has nothing on this gang. Misses Nan, Miriam, Edith. Ruth and Dorothy Elberfeld, all daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Norman "Kid" Elberfeld, and Frankie and Joe Zoellers and Bill Wano, ball players, walked to Lonoke
yesterday morning. They made the distance, 23 and 1-2 miles, in six hours. Miss Nan Elberfeld, the Kid's eldest daughter, is 18 years old, and Dorothy, the youngest, is 12 years old.
The party will try to "step it" to Hot Springs next Saturday. However, Bill Wano and Frankie Zoellers will not be in on the hike as they will be in Shreveport with the ball club. The Chief and Frankie were so tired from yesterday morning's hike that they were unable to take part in the afternoon's Traveler-Boathouse game.
