1983 Renate Galasso and Capital Reprints
1983 Galasso T-206 Reprint
This set, issued by the Renata Galasso Co., was a reprint of the T-206 original set. These cards are clearly marked as a reprint as the words "Capital Reprint" are noted on the bottom of each card. In addition, the cards usually have signficantly wider borders than the original cards.
Note: According to the note above from Beckett, a major authority on cards, the Renata Galasso cards have the "Capital Reprint" marking. However, the seems to be an inferior set of cards with larger print and lower quality graphics that are also marked "Capital Reprint." Where possible, I have shown both formats.
NOTE: Another source states: As far as I know, Renata Galasso released the next set of T206 reprints, both perforated and as a boxed set package called "The Monster," based on the moniker applied to the set by Bill Heitman in his book of the same name. I'm not sure if her perforated T206 reprints constituted a full set, but the Galasso T206 reprints that came in the box were not perforated. Reproduction was pretty decent, image-wise.
In 1983, a company called Capital released a full set of T206 reprints, which is awful. The images are blurry and/or blown out. The text along the bottom is either stretched vertically or horizontally. The whole thing looks bad. They did a few variations of this set with the backs featuring B&W text and ones with color text.

For those not familiar with Renata Galasso, her business was printing and distribution of baseball cards. She focused on the 2nd tier players and some minors -- the players Topps didn't bother with. She was in business during the 70's and 80's. Not sure what happened (not a lot of information on the Internet about her), but it appears her business ceased in the late 80's-early 90's. There's a lot of information out there about her cards - still actively traded and sought after by collectors
