He spent 14 seasons in the Major Leagues as an infielder for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, New York Highlanders, Washington Senators and Brooklyn Robins. He made his major league debut in 1898 at the age of 23. He appeared in 1,292 games during his big league career.
