The Tobasco Kid, fiery little Norman Elberfeld, whose baseball career spanned more than three decades in both the major and minor leagues, died of lobar pneumonia here Thursday night.

He reached the peak of his career in the 20's in the role of pilot F of Southern association teams, one of which, Little Rock, won its first championship under his guidance in 1920.
