BABE RUTH TO SERVE ON FACULTY
Palatka, Fla.
It will be Professor Babe Ruth this winter as the erstwhile Sultan of Swat and the Idol of the American pastime for the past 25 years serves on the faculty of Ray L. Doan's All-American Baseball School, sponsored by the City of Palatka, to teach sandlotters how to dazzle and shine in the baseball firmament.
With the Babe will be " Dazzy Vance, former major League pitching star, Kiki Cuyler, former big league star and now manager of Chattanooga in the Southern Association, Bill Jurges, New York Giants. Shortstop, Kid Elberfeld, former major league shortstop and once manager of the New York Yankees, Dutch Dorman, successful minor league manager and other baseball greats will also be included on the faculty, providing one of the greatest array of diamond talent ever to be assembled in a similar venture.
The All-American Baseball School will teach students fundamentals of baseball both in class- room instruction and actual competition. Promising student's will be given an opportunity of signing professional contracts in organized' baseball, it was stated.
