This is the granddaddy and most popular set of the early tobacco card issues. They are color lithographs with a white border and there are 525 cards in the set. The backs have over 16 different company advertisements. This set includes what are common type backs, which are American Beauty, EPDG, Old Mill, Piedmont, Polar Bear, Sovereign, Tolstoi and Sweet Caporal. The other backs have been designated there own sets because the dollar values greatly increase dependent upon what type of back is printed on the card.

T206 - White Borders
The nearly 525 cards which make up the T206 set are the most popular of the early tobacco card issues. Players are depicted in a color lithograph against a variety of colorful backgrounds, surrounded by a white border. The player names on the 1-7/16~ x 2-5/8" cards appear at the bottom with the city and league, when a city had more than one team. Backs contain an ad for one of 16 brands of cigarettes. There are 389 major leaguer cards and 134 minor leaguer cards in the set, but with frount and back varieties the number of potentially different cards runs into the thousands. The set features many expensive cards including a number of pose and/or team variations along with the very scarce Eddie Plank card and the "King of Baseball Cards", the T206 Honus Wagner, the most avidly sought of all baseball cards.
